Our sales team and installers are experts in the energy efficiency field. We are energy advisors with more than 11 years of experience.
We’ve got hands-on experience in construction and energy audits, which means we’ve learned to look at houses as whole systems. With a focus on attic insulation retro-fitting and air sealing, we know that this can be one of the most cost effective and highest impacts for homeowners.
Our goal, during the process from quote through contract, is to inform our customers about what we can do for them. As homeowners, the better educated you are about how everything works together, the better decisions you can make in the future.

Steven Kenny
Meet Steven Kenny, one of the co-owners of Net Zero Insulation Inc. He’s not your typical business owner. With a background as a Certified Energy Advisor, he’s completed a whopping 5000 EnerGuide Home Evaluations. While he may have been born in Windsor, Ontario, he’s a London, Ontario local through and through. He kicked off his educational journey at John Paul II Secondary School before heading to Western University to snag a business degree.
But before diving into the world of energy efficiency, Steven had quite the mix of jobs. From sales at construction companies to working as a dietary aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital, he’s seen it all. You could say that energy efficiency is in his blood; his dad is a certified energy auditor who sparked his interest in this field. In 2016, after some intense training and passing some tough exams, Steven became an Energy Advisor.
It was during his energy audits that he teamed up with his co-owner, Steve Sponseller, and they saw an opportunity to start their own insulation company. Their unique angle? The “house-as-a-system” approach, all in the name of better energy savings.
Outside of work, you’ll find Steven enjoying a round of golf, trying his hand at curling, and, of course, hanging out with his family.

Now, let’s shift the spotlight to Steve Sponseller, the other co-owner of Net Zero Insulation Inc., also in London, Ontario. He’s no stranger to the world of energy efficiency either, having completed over 2000 EnerGuide Home Evaluations. But his journey took a different path. Before diving into the energy world, Steve spent his early career in the Golf Industry as an instructor. It wasn’t until 2015 that he made the leap to the construction industry, working as a Skilled Labourer in ICI construction.
In 2018, Steve got a call from his now-business partner, Steve Kenny, and the rest is history. His passion for Energy Efficiency in residential construction really started to bloom. After three years as an Energy Advisor, Steve set his sights on a new venture – a Residential Insulation Company specializing in Attic Insulation Retrofits. Fast forward to today, and the company is thriving, helping hundreds of homeowners amp up their home energy efficiency and comfort.
